Hello there!

I specialise in creating rich, eclectic and nuanced sound designs and music.

I’m a versatile sound designer and have developed my craft by working on sound for film, both as a location sound recordist and in sound post-production. I have worked as the in-house Sound Designer for Dutch film foundation Video Power and have collaborated extensively with artists from the Jan van Eyck academy in Maastricht. The projects I was involved in ranged from video art, to documentaries to short fiction films.

In 2020 I completed an MSc in Sound Design at the University of Edinburgh, where I worked on projects using ambisonics, developed music controllers and created games using Unity. For my thesis, I developed virtual instruments alongside an algorithmic music system using MaxMSP.

I am an experienced Pro Tools, Reaper, Ableton and Cubase user. I work with Unity and Wwise on game audio projects.

When it comes to radio, I have conducted my own show (2020) about British and Italian pop music on Edinburgh’s Fresh Air Radio. In 2021, together with an Italian cultural journalist and colleague, I developed a documentary series for Rai Radio 3 (National Italian Broadcaster) and RSI (National Swiss Broadcasand focusing on the 2018 Vaia storm (aka storm Adrian) and how it affected the Paneveggio forest, whose wood is used for world renowned Stradivari violins.

I am a passionate educator and currently work as an Audio Supervisor at SAE Brussels, where I guide and mentor students studying audio and electronic music production, and assist them on their final projects. Here I also give classes on a range of topics, from sound dramaturgy for film and radio, to audio production and post-production techniques, to djing and music production.

I also currently organise and run the Future Flavours of Sound festival, a project I started together with colleagues from the University of Edinburgh. The festival is a showcase of projects by students taking part in the MSc Sound Design at the university.

In my free time I enjoy working on my own music projects (electronic, post-rock and pop) and have deejayed regularly while living in the Netherlands. I keep a very open musical mindset, following and enjoying music from pop to arcane, electro-acoustic music projects.

I have an extensive and multidisciplinary academic background. Aside from an MSc in Sound Design from Edinburgh University, I hold a BA in European Studies and MA in Media culture from Maastricht University.

I’m bilingual (English and Italian) and have had a multicultural upbringing, studying languages (German and Spanish) during high school and at university, taking part in exchanges and volunteering.
